SLS In Showergels & Shampoos

SLS or SLES, stands for Sodium Laureth Sulphate or it's cousin Sodium Lauryl Sulphate. It is a foaming agent used in a lot of personal care products (Shampoos, Soaps etc) and is used primarily as a dirt cleaner, and you have to take extraordinary care not to touch it, let alone bath and shower with it. Facts prove that it is carcinogenic meaning it causes cancer and serious health problems. The same agent is used to wash cars because it takes care of grease and dirt. However once SLS goes through the skin into a blood it might cause breast cancer, menopausal problems, dropping male fertility etc.
